Key Responsibilities
As a Service Technician, you’ll:

Provide hands-on, 24/7 service for clients, performing testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on Plate Heat Exchangers and associated equipment.

Conduct preventative maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns, helping a variety of industries stay efficient and operational.

Work closely with a skilled and supportive team while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a sharp attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For

Experience with Plate Heat Exchangers is ideal OR a Trade Certification OR good experience in maintaining equipment similar to a heat exchanger.

A current driver’s license and basic computer skills are essential.

A self-starter who can manage travel independently.

Familiarity with OH&S, JSA, and Hygiene standards.

Experience in the Food & Beverage industry is a plus, but not required.

Comfortable with the occasional overnight stay due to client locations.

We handle everything from gasket replacement and plate cleaning to hydrostatic testing and supplying parts. With a customer base spanning food and beverage, mining, and other critical industries, we pride ourselves on providing technical expertise and reliable service and we are an important partner for our clients.

Your Initial Role

Assist the workshop supervisor with daily tasks, ensuring smooth operations and quality control.

Perform hands-on tasks like pressure washing, crack testing, and re-gasketing of heat exchange plates in a friendly, happy team atmosphere.

Help with goods receiving and dispatch, while occasionally working onsite with our Service Technicians.

What You Bring

A valid VIC Driver’s License (essential) and a Forklift License (a bonus).

Great communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Heat exchangers take around 10 years to master and they are a critical part of any large production facility – you will have employable career skills for life. AI will not take this job away at any point in the foreseeable future because it is so hands-on.[ND1]

Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
