The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Music Therapist join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Deliver Music Therapy clinical services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation
• Undertake Music Therapy tasks commensurate with level of experience in a complex environment of change
• Engage positively with change, including implementing methods to optimise own resilience, flexibility and reflective practice
• Develop and share clinical practice knowledge and evidence through self-directed and active learning within the team

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Tertiary degree or post graduate diploma in Music Therapy
• Australian Music Therapy Association Incorporated Registration
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent part time (15.2hours per fortnight)
• Base salary ranging from $39.86- $58.59 per hour

About Us

The Music Therapy service is a small but highly valued service amid a rapidly growing and dynamic multi-disciplinary Childrens department. The position operates from the Occupational Therapy Department which has a strong focus on clinical excellence, research and healthcare improvement, and is grounded in a culture of success. The position functions within the Childrens Services component of the Women, Newborn & Children Division (WNC)
