Blue Horse Truck Driver Training School is a locally owned and operated RTO, specialising in Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver Training. With over 20 years’ experience, we understand the industry and can relate to the expectations and restrictions of heavy vehicle drivers. All training is provided in our fleet of well-maintained vehicles offering students an efficient way of gaining hands on experience throughout their training.

We are looking to employ an experienced, certified Heavy Vehicle Training Instructor/ Assessor to join our team on a full time basis.

As a training instructor/ assessor your primary focus is to deliver high quality training to all students, be comfortable in communicating, building, and maintaining relationships with students, clients and team members as well as providing and receiving feedback.

Desirable Selection Criteria :

Unrestricted HR, HC or MC WA licence

Certification as a Qualified Instructor with the Department of Transport (valid Blue Book)

Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent desirable)

At least 5 years truck driving experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

Understanding and ability to train students in synchromesh, auto and road ranger gear boxes

Train and evaluate student’s performance during training block.

If required, assist students in completing necessary assessments related to the course unit requirements.

Complete practical assessments of all students as required by the RTO.

Adhere to all RTO compliance requirements, policies, and procedures.

Provide feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their driving abilities.
