Company Description
We are looking for a Full Time and/ or Reservations Agent, you will make our guests feel welcome right from the get go!
Mercure Sydney has 517 newly refurbished rooms, 12 conference rooms, and multiple food and beverage outlets, our location is well positioned next to Central Station. We attract a diverse market mix from Leisure, Corporate, MICE Inbound and Government business.
This role also takes assists with reservations for Ibis World Square. Matching contemporary urban style with welcoming service Ibis World Square offers 166 rooms with a great central city location.
Job Description
Input and process all reservations via our hotel PMS (opera cloud) and using Accor's RESAweb
Responding to guest calls ensuring an outstanding guest experience
Have fun in selling our rooms, with a positive approach to maximize yield in both occupancy and rates
Consistently offer exceptional, friendly and engaging service
Recommend property facilities and assist guests with information and special requests
Qualifications
A sound knowledge & application of the Opera system or similar Reservations system - highly desirable
A genuine interest to listen to others stories and look for opportunities to make them feel special
A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational & time management skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Fluency in English and high proficiency across all communication modes
Flexible availability, including Saturdays (on rotational basis)
Minimum of 6 months experience in hospitality reservations required
