Job Title: Dockhand High Reach Operator

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and operational procedures.

Operate high reach forklifts in a safe manner to move, locate, relocate, and stack products.

Perform picking and packing tasks in a freezer environment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure conformance with safety procedures.

Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and meet performance targets.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

Report any discrepancies or operational issues to supervisors promptly.

Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

A valid forklift operator certification with experience in high reach forklift operations.

Proven experience in loading and unloading trucks and handling warehouse equipment.

Ability to work effectively in a freezer environment, managing cold conditions.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Commitment to safety and adhering to company policies.

Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime when necessary.

Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Day-to-Day

Start each day by checking equipment and ensuring readiness for operations.

Attend morning briefing sessions to understand daily targets and any specific instructions.

Conduct high reach forklift operations to move stock, fulfill orders, and organize inventory.

Collaborate with team members to perform efficient loading and unloading of trucks.

Engage in freezer area tasks, including picking and packing, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Report progress and any challenges encountered during the day to supervisors.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the workspace.

End the day with equipment checks and personal inventory of tasks accomplished.
