Workfast is looking for a Forklift Operator to join a metal recycling facility in Northgate, QLD.

Workfast is a labour hire company working with some of Australia's largest and leading companies. We operate nationwide and support employees working across all industries. We are currently seeking a proactive Forklift Operator with an interest in yard operations and frontline customer service to join a growing metal recycling team. You'll be working with a supportive crew, operating equipment, and helping deliver a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload of scrap metal
• Operate forklifts and other plant equipment such as excavators ( on the job training)
• Grade, sort, and process scrap metal
• Assist customers onsite and deliver strong service
• Maintain yard cleanliness and adhere to OH&S and environmental standards
• Record incoming and outgoing material details

What You Bring to the Team:

• Forklift licence (LF)
• High Risk Workers Ticket
• Previous yard, recycling, or logistics experience
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and take on new training
• Strong reliability and communication skills
• Ability to work safely and follow site procedures
• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol test
