Collin & Kirk Thornbury is one of Melbourne’s oldest continually operating optometry practices and has recently entered a new era of development. There is an uncompromising focus on health care and quality. The practice offers premium eye care and lovely glasses from a recently upgraded location in the heart of Melbourne’s north. The small team is headed by Associate Professor Richard Vojlay, one of Australia’s most respected optometrists and anterior eye experts. The practice is growing rapidly with a focus on contact lenses and ocular disease.

This is an important job supporting Richard and an experienced dispenser whilst caring for our patients. This role is a very important part of the future of the practice in a friendly environment with excellent coffee and the best Portuguese custard tarts you will ever have.

We are looking for a person who loves helping people and is keen to work in a client focused role. Optical experience isn’t an absolute requirement, but the ideal candidate will have qualifications and experience as an optical assistant or dispenser and experience in client care. Knowledge of Rodenstock products would be an advantage. Team work and customer service values will be essential. The position is for 3 days a week. Pay according to experience.
