The Role

To help us deliver a superior service, we are seeking a Greek speaking Optical Assistant to become a crucial part of our eyecare team. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, can establish rapport with our customers, and can bring strong admin and customer service skills to this dual role to be able to balance reception and admin duties with retail sales.

This permanent part time role offers a minimum of 16 hours over several mornings per week, including some Saturday mornings, with flexibility needed to work extra hours/days to cover absences. This role is ideal for more mature age applicants looking for the benefits of part time work, a career change, or parents with school age children.

For those who have not previously worked in the optometry environment, we offer in-practice training and online learning opportunities to build your knowledge, skills, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Appointment diary management including bookings and reminders

Front office customer service, invoicing, and payments

Managing customer orders and enquiries

Database entry and management

Assisting with frame selection and professional advice on product features, benefits, and styling

About You

Background in administration

Excellent multitasking skills to manage your tasks, practice demands, and customer service priorities

Greek speaking skills essential

Technically minded and can grasp specialist concepts easily

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

A passion/flair for fashion or current trends
