Job Summary:

We are looking for compassionate Nurse Practitioners for our 100% online Telehealth clinic. We are based in Sydney, but you could be anywhere in Australia. We are looking for Practitioners to choose their own hours across the working week, within our working hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. You will be responsible for assessing patients seeking treatment with Medicinal Cannabis and Medical Weight Loss treatments. You will play a vital role in creating safe and effective treatment plans for suitable patients and assessing their ongoing treatment. Prescribing of Medicinal Cannabis must comply with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Special Access Scheme or Authorised Prescriber Scheme, and all applicable state and federal laws related to Schedule 8 medications.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct telehealth consultations with patients, assessing their medical history and symptoms to evaluate suitability for Medicinal Cannabis OR Medical Weight Loss treatments

- Creating tailored treatment plans for eligible patients & prescribing suitable treatments

- Creating and maintaining up-to-date patient records & clinical documentation

- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements

- Fast, accurate typing skills and exceptional attention to detail

- Confidence following processes and clinical protocols

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

- Commitment to providing patient-centered, high-quality care

Requirements:

- Medical degree from a recognized institution

- Current APHRA registration as NP in Australia with eligibility to prescribe schedule 4 and schedule 8 medications

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a GP or NP is required

- Australian citizenship is required for this position

- Professional Medical Indemnity Insurance

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients

- Proficiency in telehealth technologies and virtual patient care

- Committed to providing high-quality patient care and thorough clinical assessments.

- Ability to work autonomously from home, with all systems and training provided

- An interest in Prescribing Medicinal Cannabis treatments and management of eligible conditions or associated symptoms

- An interest in Prescribing Medical Weight Loss treatments and management of eligible conditions or associated symptoms

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience in a similar healthcare setting

* Proficiency in electronic medical records

* Prior experience prescribing Medicinal Cannabis &/or Medical Weight Loss treatments (preferred but not essential)
