Harlequin Haulage is a family-owned transport company based in Kentville, QLD, specialising in long-haul interstate freight using extendable flat top trailers. We're currently seeking a professional and reliable MC Licensed Driver to join our team for full-time long-distance work across Australia.

Important: This role involves long-haul interstate work. Drivers must be willing and able to be away from home for extended periods, including multiple weeks to months at a time. This requirement is non-negotiable.

Your Role Includes:

● Operating heavy vehicles with extendable flat top trailers

● Performing basic servicing and repairs as needed while on the road

● Minor mechanical repairs must be performed by drivers as required

● Completing pre-start checks and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness

● Maintaining accurate Driver Diaries, Servicing Records and POD's

● Reporting faults on your vehicle to management in a timely manner

● Working in accordance with NHVR, WHS, Chain of Responsibility, and fatigue management regulations

Preferred Experience (Not Essential):

● Driving extendable flat top trailers carrying oversize loads

● Using Gearbox compliance software and the Prestart app

● Bonneted Prime Mover Driving Experience

● Manual Prime Mover Driving Experience

Essential Requirements:

● A valid MC Licence

● Minor driving violations may be acceptable on a case-by-case basis

● A current Commercial Driver Medical Certificate (required under NHVAS and WAHVA accreditations, as we operate into Western Australia)

● Demonstrated long-haul driving experience

● Minimum 1+ years of long-haul driving experience is required

● Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required

● Sound knowledge of fatigue management, NHVR, CoR, and WHS requirements

● Ability to manage your own schedule, vehicle, and documentation independently

● Great communications skills and willing to take on feedback
