About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cafe/Restaurant Manager to join our team at babal pd pty ltd' in the idyllic coastal town of Port Douglas, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of our popular cafe and restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and financial performance.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cafe and restaurant, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting

Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests

Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers and maintain a loyal customer base

Managing and motivating a team of front-of-house and kitchen staff, providing training and development opportunities

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

Monitoring and analysing financial performance, and implementing cost-effective measures to improve profitability

Collaborating with the owner and management team to drive the overall business strategy and growth

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar cafe/restaurant management role.

Formal Qualification of least diploma level

Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a team of hospitality professionals

Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control

Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to provide a high-quality dining experience

Proficient in using relevant hospitality management software and tools

Knowledge of food and beverage trends, licensing requirements, and industry best practices

A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
