About the role

As a Mechanic and an ADAS Calibration Technician at DC Tyre & Auto Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe operation of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) in a range of modern vehicles. In this full-time position based in Forrestdale WA 6112, you will be responsible for accurately calibrating ADAS components to manufacturer specifications, keeping vehicles up-to-date and road ready.

What you'll be doing

Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.

Inspect vehicle computers and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.

Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.

Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise clients on good vehicle use.

Repair or replace broken and dysfunctional parts and fix issues.

Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair maintenance job.

Keep logs on work and issues

Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

Wheel alignments

Replace and repair tyres

Calibration of Advanced Driver Assist Systems

Utilise specialised equipment and software to complete calibration tasks to the highest standards

Assist with the training of apprentices and junior employees

Maintain detailed records of all ADAS work carried out

Participate in ongoing training to stay up to date with the latest ADAS technologies

What we're looking for

Strong understanding of automotive systems, particularly ADAS technologies.

Ability to use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot ADAS faults.

Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.

Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.

Knowledge of calibration procedures and the use of specialised tools for various ADAS sensors and systems.

Ability to analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions.

Effectively communicate technical information to colleagues and customers. Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
