About the Role:
Our client, a well-established mid-sized Chartered Accounting firm in Brisbane, is seeking a Senior Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of SME clients. This role blends tax compliance, business advisory, and virtual CFO services, focusing on strategic insights, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
This is not a bookkeeping role. Ideal candidates have strong experience in month-end/year-end processes and delivering actionable business advice. You’ll collaborate with Directors to grow the advisory division and have the opportunity to lead a future team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage client portfolios ($1M-$10M turnover) across various industries
• Prepare and review tax returns and financial statements
• Deliver advisory and virtual CFO services: budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, cash flow
• Provide strategic advice to improve client performance
• Utilise Fathom, Spotlight, and Xero for financial reporting
• Support business development and cross-selling of advisory services
• Mentor junior team members as the division expands

About You:

• CA or CPA qualified with 7+ years’ public practice experience
• Strong technical and advisory skills including month-end/year-end processes
• Commercially minded with excellent client communication
• Proficient in Xero and reporting tools like Fathom or Spotlight
• Motivated leader ready to build and grow advisory services
