Fuse Recruitment are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Fabrication Assistant to assist our clients welding and fabrication team in their site located in Greenacre. Ongoing temp to perm role, Day shift, Monday to Friday paying $45 p/hr + Super.

A National leader in their field experiencing tremendous growth! Our client works Nationwide with some of Australia’s largest sporting venues, theatres and performing arts centre’s across the Audio Visual Events space!
Their customers include sporting venues, stadiums, theatres, performing arts centre’s, houses of worship, schools, public precincts/conference centres, corporate facilities, parliaments, TV studios and councils

The Role: Manufacturing Trades Assistant

This role is manufacturing site based.

This role will see you completing Fabrication Assistant duties based on Bespoke work assisting trades people such as welders and fabricators. You will work on projects making equipment such as brackets and speakers, cabling systems and structural beams.

Your main duties will involve:

• Assisting trades people
• Working on a fabrication production line
• Drilling and Grinding of metal materials
• Painting of finished products via a spray paint booth
• Basic Welding duties
• Linishing duties, grinding and sanding to create flatness and smoothness of product surfaces
• Assembling equipment
• Use of both hand and power tools
• Following and reading plans
• General workshop clean up duties at the end of each day

Shift Available:
Day:

• 7am starts
• 3:06pm finishes
• Monday to Friday
• $45 p/hr + Super

The Candidate:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:

• Previous Manufacturing assistant experience is a must
• Experience working in a fabrication department is highly advantageous
• Hand and power tool experience is a must
• Experience with Drilling and Grinding of metal materials
• Experience with Painting of finished products
• Basic welding Mig and Tig experience
• Linishing Experience
• Experience following and reading plans for assembling products
• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent WHS knowledge
• Heavy lifting up to 20 kgs
• Must be able to commit to this role in an ongoing capacity

Advantageous:

• Holding your LF Forklift license
