SJ & DE Baxter is a mixed farming partnership operating in the Shire of Esperance (Condingup), Western Australia. We run broadacre cropping alongside livestock operations and invest in safe, modern machinery and continuous improvement.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural & Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator to operate, maintain and optimize a range of farm machinery across seasonal programs.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and position plant for operation across broadacre cropping and on‑farm tasks.

· Operate tractor‑drawn and self‑propelled equipment to plough, seed, fertilize, spray, cultivate and harvest while avoiding crop damage.

· Adjust machine settings (speed, height, depth, boom, header) for conditions and tasks.

· Conduct routine service, inspections and minor repairs; escalate major issues.

· Safely load/unload and move plant between paddocks; keep accurate work logs.

· Always follow WHS procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.

Skills & Experience

· Demonstrated experience operating broadacre farm machinery (e.g. tractors, seeders, sprayers, harvesters).

· Ability to carry out routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs.

· Good understanding of seasonal operations and on‑farm biosecurity.

· Certificate II/III in Agriculture or equivalent practical experience.

· Reliable, safety- conscious, and able to work independently.

· Current Australian C Class Driver’s License.

· HR Truck License is desired but not compulsory.
