The opportunity

Beaumaris Lawyers & Conveyancers is seeking a Junior Lawyer with 6 months to 2 years PAE to join our friendly team in Beaumaris, Victoria. This is a full-time role where you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Principal and contribute to the growth of our thriving legal practice.

Key responsibilities

provide legal advice and support to clients across a range of practice areas including Wills and Estates, Part IV matters, Retail Leases and commercial law

a minimum of 6 months experience in Wills & Estates, or you having studied those areas at University, is required together with a willingness to learn a variety of areas of law

participate in and, after initial training, conduct client meetings and negotiations

manage a caseload of matters end-to-end with the supervision and support of the Principal and experienced law clerks

develop and maintain strong client relationships

develop, foster and maintain strong relationships with Accountants, Financial Advisers and other referrers to the practice

willingness to work hard and progress

What we're looking for

6 months to 2 years of post-admission experience in Wills & Estates

admission to practice in Victoria is essential

enthusiasm and determination to succeed

strong written and verbal communication skills

ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services in a professional, sympathetic and timely manner
