About the role

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Bakery Shop Assistant to join our team at Dardanup Bakery in Dardanup, WA. This is a casual position, offering flexible hours . As a Bakery Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our popular bakery shop.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and assisting customers with a warm and friendly demeanour

Providing expert advice on our range of freshly baked goods and other products

Handling cash and operating the point-of-sale system efficiently

Stocking and replenishing shelves to maintain a tidy and well-presented shop

Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food safety throughout the bakery shop

Supporting the bakery team as needed with various tasks

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or hospitality role, preferably in a bakery or food service environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service

Good numeracy skills and the ability to work accurately with cash handling

A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

A friendly, positive, and enthusiastic attitude

Someone who can work with less supervision in a fast-paced environment. Able to think for themselves.

Barista Experience and Skills essential. Training provided for the right applicant.
