Our clients are an award leading mid-sized accounting firm located in Chatswood. They provide a full range of accounting, business consulting, tax advice, SMSF services and wealth management. We are looking for a strong intermediate accountant with 2+ years experience in public practice. This role offers hybrid working arrangements with 3 days WFH.

Our client focuses on working with a bespoke client base and looking for high-performing business services accountants to join their team. There are ample career progression opportunities and also great exposure to a variety of complex clients where training will be provided.

If have completed or looking to study CA/CPA this will be the ideal role for you. The cost of studies and additional study days off are all covered. You will have access to professional development and career growth, but you must bring a proactive, motivated attitude to make things happen.

What You'll Do:

• Work with Senior Manager and assist with junior accountants
• Assistance in managing and mentoring a team of junior accountants.
• Direct client contact and partner mentoring.
• Completing end-to-end our client’s compliance work (entity tax returns, financial statements, individual tax returns, activity statements, FBT returns etc.).

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Commerce/Business with a focus on Accounting,
• Working towards or looking to commence CA or CPA qualification.
• At least 2+ years’ experience in accounting industry
• MUST have Australian Education and strong communication
• Knowledge of the Corporations Act, accounting standards, and tax legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Xero, XPM, and Class is highly regarded
