About the role

Manly Marine Services' is seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Technician with Mercury outboard and Mercuriser experience to join our dynamic team in Manly, Queensland. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of Mercury outboard motors, Mercuriser engines, stern drives along with work on larger diesel engines and marine systems for our valued customers. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of our clients' watercraft.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair a wide range of outboard motor issues, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems

Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs and new engine commissioning

Provide exceptional customer service, communicating with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering high-quality work

Maintain detailed records of all repairs and service work

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Marine Technician, with a proven track record of successful repairs and servicing

Mercury Outboard Technician Certification or the ability to become certified

Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of outboard motors

Proficiency in the use of diagnostic equipment, fault finding and rectification

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex issues

Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively liaise with clients

Develop and lead workshop processes and workflow

The ability to work in a team environment

A valid driver's and marine licence
