In this casual role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and participate actively in their community.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote client well-being and community engagement

Advocating for client rights and ensuring their needs are met with empathy and respect

Maintaining accurate records and reporting on client progress and support requirements

Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement individualised support plans

Ensuring a safe and secure environment for clients by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Experience working with clients with complex and challenging behaviours

A passionate and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with disabilities

Relevant qualifications in the community services or disability support field

Experience in providing person-centred care and promoting independence

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients

Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Commitment to upholding the principles of dignity, respect, and inclusion
