This position is within the School of Agricultural Sciences (College of Environmental and Life Sciences). Collaboration with relevant research Centres is strongly encouraged, and this collaboration is an important enabler of School and University strategic plans. Your New Role!
As an Academic staff member in the School of Agricultural Science, you will contribute to teaching, research and associated administrative and service functions within the College and across the University, while also engaging in professional activities relevant to your discipline.
Lecturer (Level B)
In this role, you are expected to delivery high-quality teaching and supervision to students, develop scholarly research and professional expertise aligned with your discipline, and contribute to administrative and service functions within the University.
Senior Lecturer (Level C)
In this role, you are expected to make significant contributions to teaching and supervision across all levels; lead curriculum design, development, and quality assurance processes; advance research and professional practice in your field; and provide academic leadership through coordination of learning activities and mentoring of staff.
Your Key responsibilities will include -
- Deliver and coordinate teaching activities across various formats (lectures, tutorials, workshops, fieldwork), develop innovative learning methods, and contribute to course planning and material development
- Conduct independent research leading to quality publications, contribute to research projects and grant applications, and supervise undergraduate, honours, postgraduate, and HDR students.
- Provide academic advice to students, participate in School and University service activities, engage with the profession and discipline, and undertake administrative duties as required

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $111,026.00 to $131,518.00 (pro rata) at Level B and $135,609.00 to $156,097.00 (pro rata) at Level C plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you'll bring to the role:
- Hold a PhD in a relevant discipline
- Substantial experience teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate levels
- A proven record to producing high-quality research outputs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrate initiative, work effectively under broad direction, and collaborate successfully within diverse teams
Lecturer (Level B)
- Possess strong understanding of contemporary curriculum and pedagogical approaches
- Demonstrated success in designing and delivering high-quality research activities
Senior Lecturer (Level C)
- Demonstrate success in unit coordination, design and delivery
- Track record securing and managing competitive external grants, and supervising postgraduate and HDR students to completion
