About the Role
We are seeking passionate and collaborative casual Audiologists and Clinical Instructors to join the Melbourne Hearing Care Clinic (MHCC). In this role, you will deliver outstanding audiology services while providing clinical supervision and support to Master of Audiology students.
Working in close collaboration with Senior Clinicians, the Director of Clinical Services, and Lead Audiologists, you will ensure best-practice patient care and contribute to the effective delivery of clinical excellence while playing a vital role in shaping the next generation of audiologists through thoughtful clinical instruction. Key responsibilities include conducting diagnostic assessments primarily for adult patients but also children over seven years (the ability to assess hearing acuity in younger children is highly desirable), and providing hearing rehabilitation services such as fitting appropriate devices and offering ongoing support. You will work closely with the Lead Audiologists to support and align service provision to ensure effective and efficient delivery of clinical excellence.
About you
Essential Selection Criteria
A Master’s degree in clinical Audiology or equivalent with relevant experience in clinical practice, including successful completion of clinical internship or equivalent
Eligible for membership of Audiology Australia and commitment to Audiology Australia’s Code of Ethics
Sound patient management and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse group of clientele and stakeholders
Interest in provision of clinical education
Well-developed communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Flexibility and openness to new ideas and change, with an ability to be innovative and provide creative solutions
Well-developed organisational and time management skills with an ability to work independently
Strong computer skills including all MS Office products
Desirable
Experience with electronic patient and practice management systems
Experience working within clinical settings
Experience fitting amplification solutions from a wide variety of manufacturers
