About the role

We are seeking an experienced Aluminium Welder / Fabricator to join our team at BYRON AVIATION PTY LIMITED' in Wetherill Park NSW 2164. This is a casual role, could lead to a fulltime role working on a range of welding and fabrication projects for our clients in the aviation industry.

What you'll be doing

Perform aluminium welding and fabrication tasks to a high standard, using a variety of techniques and materials

Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions

Operate a range of welding equipment and machinery safely and efficiently

Collaborate with the team to problem-solve and find solutions to complex fabrication challenges

Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and quality control procedures

Provide input and assist with continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a welder and fabricator, ideally in the aviation or aerospace industries

Strong technical skills and knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Good problem-solving and decision-making skills

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Current welding qualifications and certifications
