Civil Labourer

About the role:
Working 6am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday in a permanent role at $45 per hour, you will be travelling in company trucks from the depot in Emu Plains, with the majority of projects conducted in the Sydney CBD. Every 2-3 weeks there will be an overnight shift.

You will be working with hand and power tools as part of a small crew installing street infrastructure such as seating, bus stops, shelters and other items.

Each day your daily tasks:
Working on a variety of street infrastructure installations, you will:

• Consistently use hand and power tools
• Dig holes, pave, concrete, asphalt and restore areas
• Installing street furniture and shelters
• Operate a small excavator (if licenced)
• Work safely following all instructions

Selection Criteria:

The successful candidate needs to possess at a minimum the following experience and attributes:

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• Class C driver’s licence essential
• MR licence is preferred
• Current LF forklift ticket is preferred
• Current excavator and/or backhoe ticket is preferred
• You will be reliable, punctual, and a true team player
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
