As a Funeral Arranger/Conductor, you will plan and conduct funerals with care and sensitivity, respecting each family’s needs and wishes. You’ll provide hands-on support to Funeral Directors, manage logistics, and help create a positive, collaborative workplace where teamwork, customer service, and excellence are central. You’ll play a pivotal role in an important and memorable day, leaving families with a lasting impression of professionalism, compassion, and exceptional care.

What is the role?
- Support clients with empathy and professionalism, understanding their needs, beliefs, traditions, and special requests;
- Coordinate and manage all funeral arrangements, including liaising with clergy, florists, newspapers, and other service providers;
- Prepare, communicate, and execute the funeral plan, ensuring every detail is accurate and delivered to the highest standard;
- Handle payments and paperwork efficiently, explaining information clearly while maintaining accuracy;
- Guide the funeral team on the day, ensuring smooth service delivery and high-quality standards throughout;
- Monitor and maintain vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for use; and
- Respond calmly and professionally to client requests, concerns, or unexpected situations, providing reassurance and support.
What are we looking for?
- Compassionate individual with a strong focus on care and customer service;
- Experience gained in a service driven organisation or industry;
- Full and current Australian Driver’s License and access to a vehicle;
- Individuals who take great pride in their work and delivering the best possible experience to customers; and
- In a fit state of psychical health to manage manual handling.
