About the Role:
As the Principal Marine Science, Restoration, you will provide technical leadership, expert oversight and review to transform high-level strategies into plans that can be implemented through the facilitation, coordination, and delivery of shellfish reef restoration in South Australia. The role provides guidance, coordination and advice for the development of shellfish reef restoration projects, whilst ensuring appropriate collaboration and communication is achieved within government and with other stakeholders. The role supports the SA Government's engagement with state, interstate and national marine science programs.
Classification of appointment to the position will be based on the level of skills and experience demonstrated.

Contract: Project -based Contract for up to 2 years
Essential Qualifications:
A degree in science is essential, along with either a relevant higher qualification or extensive relevant discipline experience.
Special Conditions:
May be required to participate in responses to state emergencies or associated duties.
You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia without restrictions.
Prior to being employed, the successful applicant will be required to obtain a National Police Check.
A current class “C” driver's licence.
May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel, occasional overnight absences, and work outside of the normal hours of work.
Remuneration:
PO3 ($101,285 min - $107,078 max) p.a.
PO4 ($110,696 min - $120,470 max) p.a.
