Purpose of role: To perform maintenance works and fixes on water / sewer assets owned by major contractor.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for preparation and pack up of work vehicle, tools and job materials

Implement Traffic Management plan where relevant on-site

Spotting for excavator and truck

Hand proving and shovelling

Assisting Civil Water / Sewer Maintenance Leader whilst they are working in a Confined Space

Measuring and cutting/gluing pipe

Driving and operating jet machine

Ensuring each job site is reinstated in a clean and tidy manner

Cleaning and maintenance of tools and vehicles

Ensuring all work is safe and productive

Person Specification

Qualifications:

White Card (essential)

Drivers Licence (essential)

Medium Rigid Heavy Vehicle Licence or above (desirable)

Excavator Operator Ticket (desirable)

Traffic Management Ticket (not Traffic Control) (desirable)

Electrical Spotters Ticket (desirable)

Working Safely at Heights Ticket (desirable)

Confined Space Entry Ticket (desirable)

First Aid Certificate (desirable)

CPR Certificate (desirable)

Experience:

Practical experience on a civil site or building and construction site or experience as a labourer in some capacity is preferred.

Experience using a range of tools / power-tools is preferred.

Experience on civil water / sewer sites is desirable.

Experience working on or around excavators is desirable.

Other: Due to the nature of the work we undertake we often work until the job is complete. This can result in working overtime (paid). We require someone with the flexibility to continue to work in overtime when required (essential).
