Join a successful, expanding building contractor known in Brisbane for delivering quality build, fit-out and refurbishment projects in the mid-tier build space. This is a key leadership role at a period of growth for this multidiscipline building contractor who have multiple projects in Brisbane from $2M fit-out to $40M D&C new builds. Current projects include, fast-food restaurants, childcare centres, industrial warehouses, aged-care & retirement living, office blocks, retail and more.

They are seeking a practical, proactive Contracts Manager or a high performing Senior Contracts Administrator with management experience ready to take the next career step. The successful candidate will be someone who thrives in a team first culture. This is an important role, with the management of 7 CA’s underneath them. You will be advising CA’s, commercially sharp, experienced in the mid-tier contracting space and is genuinely invested in supporting teams to deliver outstanding results.

The Position

As a Contracts Manager you will working closely with delivery teams and senior management. You will help manage the team of CA’s, leading contract negotiations, understand contract risk, resolve disputes, and guide project teams through the full lifecycle of commercial management.

Candidate Requirements

A solid construction background - career experience that includes time as a Senior Contract Administrator, Quantity Surveyor / Cost Planner - (working for a building contractor) or a Contracts Manager.

Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial frameworks

Management experience

Able to educate and develop existing CA’s in the business

Experience playing a key commercial or contractual position in mid-tier construction space

A clear confident communication skill set

Strong negotiation skills

A collaborative mindset

An initiative taking approach - you question, investigate, and solve problems
