At Holy Cross Services, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Workplace Health and Safety Advisor to join our team full-time at our Banyo location, north of Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation and review of WHS policies, procedures, and systems in line with QLD WHS legislation and standards

Support operational teams in hazard identification, incident investigation, and risk management activities

Conduct workplace inspections and safety observations across laundry and cleaning services sites

Facilitate WHS inductions and toolbox talks

Engage with workers at all levels to build positive safety behaviours and support continuous improvement

Maintain accurate WHS records including incident reports, training registers, and risk assessments

Support injury management and return to work coordination in collaboration with internal stakeholders

Participate in WHS committee meetings and contribute to a culture of consultation and collaboration.

About you:

Minimum tertiary qualification and/or currently completing a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.

Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation, codes of practice, and standards.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across a diverse workforce.

Commitment to upholding organisational values and working within a mission-based not-for-profit framework.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and WHS systems.
