About the role

DGI Sales Pty Ltd is seeking a Factory Hand interested in Woodworking to join our team in Smithfield, NSW. You will be responsible for operating a variety of woodworking machinery to produce high-quality components for our custom cabinetry and furniture products.

What you'll be doing

Operate wood cutting, shaping, and finishing machines such as saws, moulders and sanders to fabricate wood components to precise specifications

Interpret work orders for benchtops and table tops to determine the most efficient machining processes and sequences

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance

Work collaboratively with the production team to ensure timely delivery of projects

Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all safety protocols

What we're looking for

Experience working with timber or an interest in learning.

Strong proficiency, or the ability to attain the operation a range of woodworking machinery such as table saws, jointers, planers, and CNC routers

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to precise measurements and specifications

Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Previous experience in carpentry or cabinet making would be highly regarded
