Role Overview:
As a Casual Florist at Amica Events, you will play a key role in designing and creating stunning floral arrangements that enhance our events and reflect our clients' unique visions. You will collaborate closely with the event team to ensure that each floral installation aligns with the overall aesthetic and theme of the event.
About You - Experience & Skills:
Someone who has had experience within the florist industry and/or holds a floristry qualification (Cert III ideal, experience preferred) with strong knowledge of floral design techniques, care, and handling of flowers (Fresh & Silk).
Minimum 1-2 years of floristry experience or recent completion of Certificate III in Floristry
Legal right to work in Australia
A person who is highly motivated and hard-working but doesn't take themselves too seriously (we like to have fun while we work)
Someone who is passionate about flowers and floristry as well as putting a 'wow' factor into the customer experience
A team player who thrives on the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines (we work to team & personal KPIs)
A person with a high level of attention to detail that takes pride in their work
Someone who is self-managed but equally able to work both as part of a team or by themselves.
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
Valid driver's licence and reliable transport for venue deliveries and supplier visits

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and create exquisite floral arrangements for a range of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by providing expert floral advice and personalised recommendations.
• Collaborate with the event team to integrate floral designs seamlessly into the overall event concept.
• Maintain inventory of floral products, ensuring freshness and quality while managing stock levels.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down floral installations at event venues.
Hours:
We are flexible with hours, however we are looking for someone with availability Mondays – Sundays, with a casual 15 hours p/w to commence with. The ideal candidate would have flexibility across these days and times.
Weekend availability essential, including early morning setups and late evening events.
