Sourcing Manager, Ongoing opportunities based in Sydney, Gosford or Parramatta + hybrid working options

The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is looking for an enthusiastic and team-orientated individual within the DCS Procurement Team. The successful applicant will support DCS Procurement to provide high quality end-to-end sourcing and contract management to deliver value for money and effectively meet business outcomes. The role of Sourcing Manager is to provide a range of specialised procurement advice and services to agencies within the Department.

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to grow and develop in a supportive and collaborative team. The right applicant will be a team player willing to hit the ground running, who can work autonomously and as part of a team.

About Us
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our DCS Procurement Team which services the DCS cluster. The team sits within the Finance Division of DCS, reporting to the Chief Finance Officer for DCS. DCS Procurement has three functions within the team: Business Partnering, Sourcing, and Centre of Excellence. This role sits within the Sourcing team and reports to a Senior Sourcing Manager, who reports directly to the Chief Procurement Officer.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, co-ordinate and lead sourcing activities to establish supply arrangements that meet business needs
  • Plan and lead contract negotiations in the establishment and review of supply arrangements to deliver value for money procurement outcomes
  • Manage and co-ordinate all aspects of contract management services including developing and administering contract management plans, negotiating changes and modifications, monitoring, and analysing performance, addressing non-performance, and ensuring compliance requirements to achieve the required contract outcomes
  • Provide high level advice and guidance to customers and stakeholders including a cross functional team of specialist across multiple business and portfolio to build expertise in procurement, provide governance and improve procurement practice and outcomes
  • Document procurement processes, decisions, and contractual arrangements to facilitate audit trail for probity and collaborate with relevant state agencies for audit purposes

You are genuinely passionate about procurement with demonstrable experience delivering excellence in governance, guidelines and processes which inform sustainable procurement and enhanced user experience. You are committed to your team and are flexible and reliable when your help is needed.
