Your New Role

As the Senior Engineer – Asset Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in optimising Goulburn Valley Water’s asset maintenance program for a new regulatory and pricing submission cycle. You’ll lead engineering investigations, optimise asset performance, and develop business cases that support infrastructure investment across our water and sewer infrastructure:

Key responsibilities include:

Investigate asset failures and develop business cases for major investments (think: $1M+ projects!)

Developing and reviewing asset management and maintenance programs

Work with water treatment assets, pumps, tanks, reservoirs, lagoons, and more

Collaborate with technical officers, maintenance teams, and senior management

Be the go-to expert for engineering analysis and asset optimisation

What you’ll need to succeed

Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent

Professional Engineering Registration (or eligibility)

Extensive experience in asset management, design and planning within the water industry

Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Full working rights in Australia and a current driver’s licence
