About the role

This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join the talented team at Planright', a leading engineering consultancy based in Tatura, Victoria. As a Senior Design Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality design solutions for a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Principal Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the technical aspects of complex projects from concept to completion.

What you'll be doing

Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, and utilities

Prepare detailed civil engineering designs, plans, and technical specifications

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery

Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and drafters

Identify and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges

Ensure projects comply with relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practices

Contribute to the company's business development efforts by supporting tenders and proposals

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field

Minimum 8 years of post-graduate experience in civil/structural engineering design

Demonstrated expertise in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects

Excellent technical skills in areas such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and engineering software

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and stakeholders

Proven track record of leading and mentoring junior engineers

Thorough understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
