About the role

Monson Transport (tas) Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Yard Operator to join our team in Ulverstone, Tasmania. This full-time role is an integral part of our Warehousing, Storage & Distribution operations, playing a key function in the efficient management of our yard and transport logistics.

We also have a position for a Full Time HR driver and full time MR driver - Above award payments apply

What you'll be doing

Coordinating the movement of vehicles, trailers and equipment within the yard to ensure efficient workflow and timely dispatch of goods

Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols

Performing regular yard inspections and maintaining a clean, organised and hazard-free work environment

Liaising with transport coordinators and drivers to optimise yard operations and overcome any logistical challenges

Providing support to the wider warehouse and distribution team as required

What we're looking for

Prior experience in a similar yard or warehouse operations role, preferably within the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Excellent organisational and time management capabilities, with a keen eye for detail

Forklift licence and experience operating various machinery and equipment
