Asset Nutrition is a family-owned business in Tasmania. Starting out as a small Pig feed mill Asset Nutrition now supplies bagged and bulk feed and grain to customers across the state.

We are currently hiring for a Feed Mill Operator to join our team onsite in Parkham, Tas.

As a Feed Mill Operator, your main role is to operate and monitor our production line. You will work in all aspects of running the mill, including batching, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will also be required to assist in other areas of production including bagging and forklift operating as required.

If you are a candidate who is willing to learn, happy to have coordination responsibilities and good mechanical skills, we are prepared to train the operator on the feedmill specifics.

Key responsibilities include:

Operate Feedmill pre-mix, batching and machinery to produce feed orders according to job schedule requirements.

Assist with production tasks as required, including operating bagging/sewing line and operating a forklift.

Completing basic machinery cleaning and general maintenance to minimize breakdowns.

Ensuring manufacturing processes are adhered to at all times.

Get involved with safety, follow the safety rules, speak up, and be mindful of risks.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Hold a current car license.

Current forklift license is favorable, can be obtained if required.

Have good numeracy and literacy skills.

Be a Team player.

Attention to detail, and proud of a clean workspace.

Physically fit to meet the manual handling needs of the position.

Ability to understand, correctly interpret and follow instructions, procedures, and information.

Proven ability to work effectively unsupervised and within a team environment.
