Stem2Stern Marine is a Premium Mercury and Yanmar Dealer and comprehensive marine mechanical service company located in modern premises at Bibra Lake in Perth and is looking to expand our team.

We are a leading Mercury Dealer and a dynamic and growing organisation looking to recruit a qualified and experienced marine mechanic to join the team. Our work is local, focused in Perth both at our modern Bibra Lake workshop and mobile where you will be able to bring your experience in installing and repairing Mercury, MerCruiser, and Yanmar diesel engines. We are also the Australian agents for Konrad sterndrives.

You will join a stable, experienced, enthusiastic and supportive group at S2S where we value good rapport with staff and customers alike. Day to day work is conducted alongside four other qualified marine techs and three apprentices.

Our work is diverse, and you will find the job rewarding and interesting with opportunities to develop your career alongside our sister company Shockwave Powercats and assist in passing your knowledge and experience to younger members of the team.

Daily duties include:

Servicing/maintaining & repairing marine engines

Diagnosing and problem solving

Mentoring apprentices

Customer liaison

Project work

To be successful in this long-term role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

Marine Mechanical experience and relevant qualification (Cert III Marine Mechanical Technology or equivalent)

Keen interest in boating/marine pursuits

Able to perform diagnostics and fault finding on modern petrol and diesel engines

Able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines

Extreme pride in your workmanship, presentation and customer interaction

Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to work with others in a friendly and professional manner

Desirable: LR licence, Forklift ticket, Senior First Aid Certificate, Recreational Skippers Ticket.

Very attractive pay (plus seasonal overtime) commensurate with experience will be offered for the right candidate. We have a structured bonus system with regular pay reviews. We offer a full-time position with good conditions for employees who have a keen eye for detail. A relocation package may also be negotiated if required.
