Key Responsibilities

Plan menus, estimate food and labor costs, and order ingredients.

Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation.

Collaborate with managers, dietitians, and kitchen staff on food preparation.

Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on best practices.

Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese-Malaysian dishes.

Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

Train and supervise kitchen staff as needed.

Manage food preservation and freezing processes.

Organize and oversee kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

At least a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).

1-2 years of experience as a chef.

Strong expertise in Chinese-Malaysian cuisine.

Ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced kitchen.

Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
