Position Details:

Salary Range: $74,000 - $80,000 + superannuation

Location: Shop 4/34 Eyre St, Kingston ACT, 2604

Job Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

● Creating menus, calculating food and labour costs, and managing the procurement of food supplies.

● Overseeing the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation stages.

● Collaborating with managers, dietitians, and kitchen and waiting staff to address food preparation concerns.

● Demonstrating cooking techniques and providing guidance on culinary procedures.

● Preparing and cooking meals, ensuring consistency in flavour and presentation.

● Communicating and ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.

● May be responsible for hiring and training staff.

● May also handle the freezing and preservation of foods.

● Designing and planning an innovative menu.

● Ensuring compliance with Australian food safety regulations and maintaining high hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

● Minimum Certificate IV in Kitchen Management

● Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality Management

● At least 2 years of full-time experience as a Chef or in a similar role.
