Your Position:
This is an opportunity to work in a high energy, collaborative team to deliver ambitious public art and cultural outcomes for a unique, vibrant and progressive LGA. Be part of shaping Sydney's cultural playground as we implement our creative and placemaking vision.
Your position is key to the delivery of an exciting and transformative public art program and key cultural initiatives which capture the essence of Burwood's community.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-
- Leading the development and delivery of public art projects which contribute to community and place
- Leading the planning, development and delivery of high-quality arts and cultural programs across the Burwood LGA, including the ongoing growth of the Burwood Art Prize
- Identifying opportunities to integrate cultural outcomes and public art into Council programs and asset development.
- Working collaboratively with all areas of Council and strategic partners to deliver creative and impactful arts and cultural outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will have:-
- A Degree in Arts Administration, Cultural Development or a related discipline with contemporary experience in a similar role
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of arts and cultural programs
- Experience in project management with high-level problem-solving skills
- Experience in working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Availability to work out of hours and on weekends as required.
Key Requirements:
- COVID 19 vaccination for all employees (2 Vaccines)
- Willingness to complete a National Police History Check
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment (Where applicable)
- Current Driver's License
- Local Government working experience an advantage …
