Major Plant Operator – Landfill Operations

Are you an experienced plant operator looking for hands-on outdoor work with a supportive team? Join the local council Waste Management Facility in this rewarding temporary full-time position, with potential for a permanent role in the future.

In this role, you will:

Operate and maintain plant/equipment (excavators, drott, landfill compactor, forklift, etc.)

Assist with site operations including resource recovery, stockpile management, and litter control

Maintain a clean, safe work environment and support WHS practices

Direct customers and support safe waste disposal operations

You’ll need:

Relevant plant licences (excavator, drott, forklift)

White Card (General Construction Induction)

Experience in landfill/earthmoving operations - highly regarded

Strong teamwork, communication, and safety mindset

Pre-employment checks: Reference Checks and Criminal Record check

Desirable:

MR Licence

Environmental management awareness

Customer service skills
