Looking for skilled and experienced people with leadership, management and out of home care experience.
Experience in child protection, child and adolescent development, youth and family work is essential.
Your objectives will include:
Case practice adheres to a high professional standard and in a manner that promotes the safety, welfare and wellbeing, family and community connections for children and young people supported by Ngunya Jarjum.
Services are delivered in line with established Ngunya Jarjum policies and procedures, Office of Children's Guardian (OCG) standards, code of practice and in compliance with relevant legislation;

Selection criteria
1. You identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
2. Relevant qualifications and extensive demonstrated experience (minimum of 3 years) in child protection, early childhood development, youth, family work sectors
3. Excellent understanding of OOHC standards, legislation and OCG accreditation requirements.
4. Preparing court work and attending court ie Affidavits, s82 & s90.
5. Demonstrated experience in leading, supervision & management of a small team with proven skills in conflict & negotiation & the ability to resolve complex critical issues.
6. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing Quality Assurance ie Compliance.
7. Ability to participate in on-call services.
8. Ability to manage and prioritise tasks in a high-volume work environment to meet a number of competing deadlines.
9. High Level of computer literacy; high working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
10. NSW open driver's licence
Pre-employment probity checks will be conducted prior to any offer of employment including a National Criminal History Record Check with a satisfactory outcome
Two professional referee checks will be conducted including one with a recent supervisor.
It is a legislative requirement for all employees to hold an NSW Working with Children - Employee clearance.
Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010
Salary range classification - Social and Community Services Employee Level 7 – pay point 1, Annual salary $119,089.36. Plus, superannuation at 12 % of ordinary time earnings (OTE). Not-for-profit Salary packaging available.
You will be required to undertake on-call duties for a one-week period on a rotating roster.
There will also be the requirement to undertake other out-of-hours work on weekdays and/or weekends to meet children and young people's needs.
