THE ROLE

Due to recent growth, our client is seeking an experienced Residential Building Code Consultant / Assistant Building Surveyor to join their residential division. This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse residential projects, with the flexibility of central office and hybrid working arrangements.

DUTIES

• Review documentation and issue building permits
• Manage projects from commencement to completion
• Carry out inspections and compliance audits
• Attend meetings both online and in-person
• Liaise with councils, clients, contractors, authorities, and fire brigades
• Approve and prepare fee submissions and proposals
• Approve and issue invoicing
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships to ensure trust and service excellence
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and company processes
• Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Actively contribute to a team-focused and collaborative environment

ABOUT YOU

• Experience in residential building surveying or building code consultancy
• Understanding of relevant building codes, legislation, and compliance requirements
• Strong communication and client engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Team-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement
