Trainer & Assessor (BSB)
The position commencement date will be determined with the suitable candidate
The roles are suited for Trainers and Assessors who are seeking either contract work and have previously/currently delivered one of, or a range of the following courses:
BSB40320 Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business
BSB50120 Diploma of Business
BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management
and primarily
BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)
About the role/s
As the Trainer & Assessor (BSB), your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Delivery of quality training and assessment of theory and simulated practical lessons
Mark, manage and maintain student assessments in a timely manner
Maintain compliant student files
Provide regular reports on student progress
Support students throughout the course
Develop session plans to support your delivery
Skills and experience
Qualification in the relevant BSB course
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or newer.
Minimum 2 years of industry experience in the field
Solid interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills

The role will include the following:
Deliver training via face-to-face classroom sessions
Assess students via practical assessments and online assessments
Undertake regular VET and industry professional development to maintain currency
Liaise with students in both physical and virtual environments to ensure they are supported and progress through their programs at an acceptable pace
Liaise with the administration team to ensure student records are up to date
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to speak English fluently
Must be reliable, easily contactable
Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite are essential
Key Selection Criteria
Ideally, applicants will tick the box on most of the following:
Hold a TAE40122 or equivalent
Trainers and Assessors - Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant vocational and industry, including demonstrated experience in training and assessment in a competency-based training environment and an understanding of nationally endorsed Training Packages and accredited courses.
Demonstrated experience with the VET Quality Framework and understanding of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
Relevant industry experience to the position/s
Ability and passion to engage the class and draw on one's own experiences to provide students with a rich learning experience
Proactive approach to student management
Maintain KPIs
Can work autonomously and make decisions
