POSITION OBJECTIVES:
If you have experience working in a collaborative team environment in construction and/or quarrying; and qualifications in Safety (mandatory), Quality and Environment (would be good but not mandatory) apply here now.
This position will provide both on-site and administrative assistance to our General Manager, Fleet Manager, Civil Project Supervisors and Quarry Supervisors within the fields of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality. An average day may involve:
facilitating safety audits at civil and quarry sites
assisting with traffic management plan development and auditing
facilitating project risk assessments and developing SWMS, SOPs and other safety documentation
provide advice and support on safety, quality and environmental matters
liaising with, and reporting to, regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with permits (i.e. WorkSafe, EPA, MRT etc) for civil and quarry operations
driving the company Intergrated Management System including ongoing improvements and auditing
managing environmental compliance
Stakeholder management on various projects

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate internal and third-party audits
Monitor and report compliance with safe systems of work, procedures and processes
Assist with incident reporting and investigations
Report on project compliance with HSEQ outputs and outcomes
Coordinate the company’s ISO accreditation and facilitate audits with external parties as required.
Assist with coordinating quarry quality systems: material sampling; analysis; and consultation with testing authorities and other regulatory bodies
Coordinate compliance with Quarry tenements including licences, reporting and lease conditions
Build collaborative relationships and provide dependable advice
Monitor implementation of Toolbox Talks, Take-5s, weekly site inspections and task observation and facilitate HSEQ forums, training and workshops
Present high quality written reports
POSITION SPECIFIC ATTRIBUTES:

High level of skill in using spreadsheets and registers to record information and update for compliance, inspections and testing

Experience with implementing a range of fit for purpose methodologies to support the monitoring and completion of corrective, preventative and improvement actions by the business
Valid driver’s licence
