The opportunity
We are in the market for two (2) Library Officers who are passionate about literacy, learning and the community, and who enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.

Working within the Library Services team, you will provide excellent customer service, develop and deliver programs and contribute to the development of a learning community. You will be part of a dedicated team providing a professional dynamic, engaging and customer focused Library Service to the community.
Mandurah Libraries are open Monday to Sunday with some weekend and early evening work being required, as well as the ability to work across our three facilities – Falcon Library, Lakelands Library and Mandurah Library.
To be successful in these roles, you will:
- Formal qualifications in customer service, libraries or equivalent experience.
- Current National Police Clearance (within 6 months of date of issue)
- Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply)
- Previous Local Government experience (desirable)
- Previous experience working in a public library (desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging learning programs for children and adults
- Numeracy, cash handling and cashiering skills.
- Experience working within a customer service environment where information is provided to customers
