Job Title: Fruit Fly Controller
Location: Barmera, SA 5345
Employment Type: Full-time hours (Monday-Friday: 8am - 4pm)
Payrate: $35 - $36

We are on the lookout for enthusiastic, reliable, and hands-on people to help us fight fruit fly outbreaks and keep our state fruit fly free. You'll be out in the field, setting traps, inspecting properties, helping with treatment programs, and talking to the community - all while enjoying the fresh air and working with a supportive, purpose-driven team.

What We are Looking For:

• Experience in Fruit Picking and Customer Service
• Valid National Police Clearance (obtained within 12 months)
• Full working rights, with no restrictions
• Full driver's licence and willingness to drive 4WDs with trailers
• Positive Attitude
• Ideal for someone looking for a long term career!
• Be available to attend a 3-hour paid induction prior to starting

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conduct inspections of various produce to identify signs of fruit fly infestations.
• Collect and analyse samples for laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
• Collaborate with farmers and community members to educate them on pest management practices.
• Monitor and report on trends related to fruit fly populations.
• Assist in implementing pest control measures and strategies.
