Welcoming all eligible applicants to join a team delivering engineering and trials services in support of national maritime robotics research and development capabilities. This role supports the development of modelling and simulation capabilities to enable testing of emerging maritime robotics capabilities for a government research and development organisation.

Multiple people may be considered for this team, and applicants do not necessarily need to demonstrate experience with all elements of this EoI.

Essential requirements:

Already hold an AGSVA NV1 clearance.

Software development, especially using C++ and Python.

Modelling and simulation, particularly for robotic systems - Gazebo experience preferred.

Experience developing within the ROS2 framework.

User interface design.

Software testing.

Desirable:

Maritime environment experience.

Underwater robotics.

Standards-based software development.
