About the Role - Finance Officer (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Ironbark is seeking a highly motivated Finance Officer to support our financial operations and ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension subject to organisational needs.
The role involves processing financial transactions, preparing detailed reports, reconciling accounts, monitoring budgets, and assisting in audits. You will need meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in financial processes.
We are looking for an applicant who has:
• Minimum Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping or at least 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Australian business taxation requirements including GST reporting, PAYG and Superannuation.
• Strong knowledge of financial management systems.
• Demonstrated high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and MYOB.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation.
