Are you passionate about dogs and ready to launch a rewarding career? Charlie’s Mates, a well-established dog grooming and daycare centre in Wentworth Point, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Dog Grooming Trainee.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become a grooming superstar! You'll receive comprehensive training and a stable income while earning your Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming).

What You'll Be Doing

As a Grooming Trainee, you'll work closely with our head groomer to learn all aspects of the trade, from nose to tail. Your role will evolve over the two-year traineeship, starting with perfecting your bathing skills and dog handling before moving on to advanced grooming techniques, including scissoring and breed-specific grooms.

You will also:

- Perform bathing and grooming procedures.

- Learn and apply excellent customer service skills.

- Complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain a pristine and safe environment.

- Ensure the health and safety of all dogs in our care.

The position is a permanent, full-time role, with workdays from Tuesday to Saturday.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a bubbly, outgoing, and self-motivated individual who is reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn. Previous experience in a salon or doggy daycare is a bonus but not essential, as full training is provided. Prior customer service experience is also highly regarded.
